Mr. One-Liner

By Andre Lepine

A Musical Cento from Our Wedding Album
Oh, thinking about all our younger years, there was only you and me.
And our lives are forever changed, we will never be the same.
I'm gonna be the man who's growing old with you.
I would like to reach out my hand.
In our short years, we’ve come long way.
And I still find it so hard to say what I need to say.
Didn't think we'd ever make it this close to safety in one piece.
Hold the hand of your best friend, look into their eyes.
You're not alone, I'll wait till the end of time for you.
There's always some reason to feel not good enough, and it's hard at the end of the day.
On a stormy sea of moving emotion.
Can this be where love runs free?

Won't you take me by the hand? Take me somewhere new.
I've been sleeping a thousand years it seems.
I see your face to start my day, makes all my bad dreams go away.
The things that we're afraid of are gonna show us what we're made of in the end.
I'll be there and I'll cover you.
I found the greatest love of all
