Open 2021 Poems - Vinita Tripathi

Let there be Dark!

By Vinita Tripathi

Let there be dark!
So that no seductive form
Has a swollen esteem
Never letting others carve a niche
Under one’s own steam.

Let there be dark!
So that no prejudice dwell
Against the scarcity
Or the Nouveau Riche
And there be equanimity.

Let there be dark!
So that no bright blinds
The tribe of Godly camp
Towards the fuzzy gleam
Of the humble earthen lamp.

Let there be dark
So that light finds its significance!

Vinita Tripathi from India is a teacher and loves to write poetry.
