Redolent Resurrection

Sunbeams shooting
through the window
snap me awake.
I reach over
but you have left.
I take a deep breath
and your
perfume love essence
is everywhere:
on the pillow, on the sheets -
on my cheeks.
I inhale again
and become overwhelmed
by the marrow of
your love.
