Moving On
By Anjani George

Walking away is an art
An art that keeps you going
Moving on is a skill
A skill that redeems

Be cautious with people
Who manipulate
Stay away from them
Who stab from behind

Never take an insult lightly
You do not deserve it
Come away from ridicule
You aren’t a punch bag

Know a bully from afar
Be it kith or kin
Them the show offs
A placid smile would do

You owe it to yourself
To treat people
Only the way they treat you
Compromising isn’t your liability

Walk away and move on
From those who only use you
Ignore and just let them be
For you cannot change them

Make a turn around
To them the others
Who had never let you go
For, it’s not late to come back
