Shishir 2018 Poems - Pushpa Wati

Fire

By Pushpa Wati

Intoxicating
Tongues of fire
Lick through
Young desire.

Entwined
In passionate combat
Oblivious to
This and that.

Burnt
They cry out
Potent ash
They shout.

Fire
Grins once again
The prudent
Runs in vain..
